Reliance Jio has introduced an affordable recharge option for prepaid users who need additional high-speed internet for a short period. Priced at just ₹15, the new data add-on offers unlimited 5G data for 24 hours, making it an interesting option for customers who occasionally consume large amounts of mobile data.
In today’s digital world, people use mobile internet for almost everything, including watching videos, attending online meetings, playing games, downloading files and browsing social media. However, daily data limits can become a problem when users have an unusually high internet requirement.
Jio’s new ₹15 pack aims to address this situation by providing a temporary 24-hour window of unlimited 5G connectivity without requiring users to purchase a more expensive recharge.
The offer is particularly interesting because it gives customers a low-cost option for a day when they need more data than their regular plan provides.
Jio ₹15 Recharge Pack: Key Details
The main attraction of this recharge is its low price and short-term unlimited 5G benefit.
Here are the reported details:
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Recharge price | ₹15 |
| Data benefit | Unlimited 5G data |
| Validity | 24 hours |
| Network | Jio True 5G |
| Pack type | Data add-on |
| Voice calling | Not included |
| SMS | Not included |
| Hotspot | Supported, subject to compatibility |
The pack is designed mainly for additional internet usage. It should not be confused with a regular prepaid plan that provides calling, SMS and daily data benefits.
According to reports, the recharge also includes a small 200MB 4G data allowance, with speeds reduced to 64Kbps after that allowance is exhausted. Customers should check the latest pack description and applicable terms in the MyJio app before making a recharge.
What Can You Do With Jio’s ₹15 Unlimited 5G Pack?
The new recharge could be useful for people who need a large amount of internet data within a single day.
Here are some possible uses.
1. Watch Movies and Videos
Video streaming consumes considerable mobile data, especially when users watch content in HD or 4K quality.
With the 24-hour unlimited 5G benefit, eligible customers can stream movies, web series, YouTube videos and other online content without worrying about a fixed data allowance for the 5G benefit.
2. Download Large Files
Downloading large files can quickly consume the daily data included in a regular prepaid plan.
For example, users may need to download software, documents, large video files, game updates or other digital content. The ₹15 pack could provide an affordable way to handle such downloads during its validity period.
3. Online Gaming
Online gaming requires a stable internet connection, particularly for multiplayer games.
Jio’s 5G connectivity may help users enjoy online gaming, download game updates and access other internet-based gaming services. Actual gaming performance will still depend on network coverage, signal quality, server location and device compatibility.
4. Work From Home
People working remotely often need internet access for video meetings, file transfers, online collaboration tools and cloud-based applications.
The new pack could be useful when users temporarily need additional connectivity through their smartphones. It may also help users connect laptops or tablets using mobile hotspot functionality.
5. Social Media and Everyday Browsing
Users who spend time on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms may also find the offer useful.
Uploading videos, sharing large files, watching reels and browsing content can consume significant data. The short-term pack offers another option for users who need extra connectivity for a busy day.
Who Can Use the New Jio ₹15 Recharge?
Although the recharge is affordable, users should understand that unlimited 5G access depends on network and device eligibility.
Customers generally need:
- A compatible 5G-enabled smartphone.
- Access to Jio True 5G network coverage in their location.
- An active eligible Jio prepaid connection and compliance with the applicable recharge conditions.
A 4G-only smartphone cannot access the unlimited 5G benefit. Similarly, customers outside Jio’s 5G coverage area may not be able to use the main benefit of this pack.
Since this is a data add-on, users should also check whether their existing prepaid plan meets the applicable requirements.
Before purchasing, it is best to open the MyJio application and read the pack details displayed for your number. This helps avoid confusion about eligibility, validity and 4G fallback benefits.
How to Recharge With the Jio ₹15 Pack
Eligible customers can check the new recharge through Jio’s available recharge channels.
Follow these general steps:
- Open the MyJio application on your smartphone.
- Log in using your Jio mobile number.
- Go to the Recharge or Mobile Plans section.
- Look for the ₹15 unlimited 5G data add-on.
- Check the benefits, validity and eligibility conditions.
- Complete the payment if the pack is available for your number.
Customers can also check Jio’s official website and authorised recharge outlets. Availability and displayed terms should be confirmed before payment.
Is Jio’s ₹15 Unlimited 5G Pack Worth It?
The new recharge could be a useful option for customers who occasionally need extra internet for a short period.
For example, someone downloading a large file, watching live sports or attending several online meetings may not want to purchase a more expensive data plan just for one day.
At ₹15, the pack offers an inexpensive way to access additional 5G connectivity, provided the customer meets the eligibility requirements.
However, it may not be suitable for everyone. Users who primarily browse websites, send messages or watch a limited amount of video may not need an additional data pack. Customers without a compatible 5G smartphone or reliable Jio 5G coverage may also receive little benefit from it.
The most important point is to check the conditions before recharging rather than assuming that unlimited 5G will work everywhere.

Reliance Jio’s new ₹15 recharge pack brings an affordable option for users who need unlimited 5G internet for a limited period. With 24-hour validity, it could be useful for streaming videos, downloading large files, online gaming and remote work.
The biggest advantage is that customers do not have to commit to a more expensive recharge simply because they need extra internet for one day.
However, the unlimited 5G benefit depends on having a compatible smartphone, Jio True 5G coverage and meeting the applicable plan conditions.
For users who regularly need additional high-speed internet, this could be a convenient addition to Jio’s recharge options.
